Rosemary  Awino Kaduru(Executive Director)LLB (Hons.) University  of  Nairobi , Diploma in Legal Practice(KSLN), MSC(Econ) Social  Development, Policy  planning  and Management .Swansea Centre for Development Studies- University  of Wales, UK

Rosemary is currently the Executive Director  and lead reseaarcher of  DRT. She has  over 20 years experience  in  development  work, with key emphasis on poverty research, analysis using both  qualitative  and quantitative  methodologies. and She has worked  in areasof planning, implementation and management  of humanitarian programmes. Rosemaary has led on institutional evalutions  and strategic planning processes and other poverty related studies.


Charles Lwanga-Ntale (DRT Research  Associate); B.Sc. (Hons) MUK; Graduate Diploma (Population & Development Studies) & M.A Legon Ghana.

Charles Lwanga-Ntale is a social researcher with previous training in Demography, Economics, Statistics and Sociology. He is current Executive Director of DRT with overall responsibility for planning, strategic management, and resource mobilisation. He has over 20 years’ experience, working in Uganda and other African countries, on a wide range of community development projects.

 


Kavuma Ronnie ( Finance Admin & Projects Manager); BA(SS)(Econ)MUK; MBA(Finance),Edinburg Business School, Heriot-Watt University, UK; ACCA (Final stage)

Ronnie is responsible  for ensuring effective and efficient  financial and project  management, providing  strategic leadership to DRT administrsation team, developing frameworks for HR, Finance and  Administration  management  and advising  the Executive Director and management team on key  policies that need  to be adopted.



Jane Namuddu (Senior Program Officer- Chronic Poverty & Vulnerability); Diploma (Secondary Education) ITEK; BASS (Hons) MUK; M.A (Social Policy and development) Middlesex University, UK

Jane is a development specialist with 9 years experience in social economic research in areas of poverty, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, children as well as monitoring and evaluation. She has enormous skills in participatory development approaches with a special bias in participatory video. She is the head of DRT’s Research, Policy Analysis and Policy Engagement unit. Jane is involved in policy analysis with the aim of influencing pro poor policy. She is working on the social protection agenda for Uganda and is a key player in the crusade for policy inclusion of the chronically poor people in the national and international development agenda. Jane was actively involved in the design of Uganda’s Pilot Cash Transfer Scheme.


Paul Onapa (Senior Program Officer: Social  Policy). MA (Public Administration and Management) MUK, Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons), MUK

Paul Onapa has wide experience in civil society work in Uganda in the areas of Anticorruption work, Good governance and Development. He has skills in Project Planning and Management, Policy Analysis and Advocacy, Research and Project Monitoring and Evaluation. Paul is part of the team working on the social protection agenda for Uganda and is a key player in the crusade for the inclusion of the chronically poor people in the national and international development discourse.


Andrew Ssebunya (Senior Programme Officer – Governance & Human Rights); B.A. Social Sciences, MUK. Currently persuing an MA( Development Studies) -  Uganda M artyr's University Nkozi

Andrew is currently leading on the Governance and Rights Programme. He has   participated in the Uganda Participatory Poverty Assessment Process (UPPAP) as a field researcher, and has also led on the collection and processing of micro-level poverty data which sheds light on poverty changes at a micro-level.


Marion Mbabazi (Senior Program Officer –Institutional Development & Learning) BASS (Hons) MUK; M.A (Participation and Social Change) IDS, University of Sussex, UK.

Marion Mbabazi is a social researcher and social development specialist with over seven years’ experience of work in social development. She has skills in participatory poverty research, monitoring and evaluation. She is also skilled in program design, management and implementation. Presently, Marion heads the Capacity Building and Partnerships Unit where she has overall responsibility of institutional development and training of local, national and international partners in the development arena in Uganda.

Andrew participated in the Uganda Participatory Poverty Assessment Process (UPPAP) as a field researcher, and has been leading on the collection and processing of micro-level poverty data which sheds light on poverty changes at a micro-level. He is currently a member of the Capacity Building and Partnerships group leading on specific capacity building assignments for DRT, and has wide involvement in institutional development activities as well.


Betty Kasiko (Program Officer – Economic Policy : Aid, Trade & Global Processes): B.A (Ed) MUK. MA Development Studies - Uganda Martrys' University  Nkozi(ongoing)

Betty isa social researcher  with experience in  varied social research  aspects , qualitative data analysis plus intergration  of qualitative data in report writing. she has been involved in  community Development work and Mobilisation. She has  also participated in a wide range of DRT’s poverty and policy research and evaluation activities. She is currently coordinating DRT’s study on links between excessive alcohol consumption and chronic poverty in Uganda and she is actively involved in work on Aid architecture; arguing for full aid ownership by recipient countries to enhance aid effectiveness and achievement of MDGs by 2010.


 Jude Muleke (  Program Officer - Chronic Poverty & Vulnerabiltity): BA (SS)(HONS) - Uganda Martyrs Nkozi, Certificate International English Langauge (British  Council Uganda), M.A Education  & Develpoment - Uganda Martrys Nkozi.

Jude is a social scientist, development advocate and DRT's Program Officer in Kalangala district under the Chronic Poverty Program. He provides assistance  to the organisation's research on Participatory Planning  and Poverty Monitoring in collaboration with the district administration, Civil Society Organisation(CSOs) and Commuity Based Organisations(CBOs). He has specific interest  in  capacity building, local community rehabilitation projects and HIV/AIDS related projects.


Angela Mukite (Administrative Assistant)

Angela Mukite has responsibility for managing DRT's office operations, including managing communications, reception, records, public relations and customer service. She has overall responsibility for maintaining the DRT image.

 


 

 Nabwire Vivian Maximiller ( Young profesional) Bachelors of Social Work  and Social Administration(SWASA)- Uganda Christian University Mukono

Maximiller  is a development worker with experience in  carrying out   evaluations of development comunity   projects. In the last one year she has been  involved structuring and developing training manual for various  needs and also interactive interviews. Her field of expertise include research evaluations on projects within Uganda and East Africa


Charles Male (Logistics)

Mr. Male is responsible for managing DRT's growing fleet of vehicles as well as overseeing transport systems and procedures in the organisation.

 

 

 


Winnie Musoke (Information Technology officer). B.A. SS (Econ 3:1:1) (hons) (Muk), Certificate in online trading (Forex trader/Analyst), Certificate in Teaching to standards wth New Technologies (Harvard University of Graduate School of Education), MBA-IT (Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences).

Winnie is responsible for managing the IT department, offering IT technical support for both software and hardware, offering guidance on setting up IT systems in the organisation, and also acts as the webmaster for the organisation website.


Nakaggo Harriet kakooza (young professional).B.A Development studies.

Harriet joined DRT in September 2007 as a young professional, having graduated from Mbarara University of science and technology in 2007; she has experience in OVC work. She is currently assisting on the study on chronic poverty and rural remoteness in conflict areas.

 

 

 


SSanyu Phiona (Office Assistant); Student MUK.

Phiona is currently pursuing a B.A Adult and Community Education. She provides support in general office duties ad ensures health and safety needs of staff are met. She also assists the administrative assistant in maintaining the DRT image.
